Top 5 News Sources

1. News app on iPhone

Conveniently on my iPhone, I get most of my news through the news app that Apple provides each iPhone. Though there are many apps on my iPhone that go untouched, this one is used almost everyday. I like to get most of my news from this app because I can adjust the categories to show the stories that I would be most interested in. I tend to pick the categories on sports, celebrities, natural disasters and sometimes politics. The app also displays the top stories which tends to be the most important news coverage in the media. I also like to read into minor stories just because that topic interests me. If I could pick one place to get all my news from, it would be this app.

2. Buzzfeed

Another way that I get my news is through the news tab on Snapchat. I mainly look at the Buzzfeed section because it tends to target the millennial generation. Buzzfeed is where I can find celebrity news and take Buzzfeed quizzes. I really enjoy interactive news apps because it tends to feel like a game when really you are learning a lot about a particular topic. I mostly go on Buzzfeed when I am bored and want something fun to do.

3. NBC World News

While at home, I was able to keep up with the World News because my mom had it on tv everyday. She would come in everyday from work and make me turn off my show to watch World News but I am thankful for that. Now that I am not home, I want to start tuning in on World News on my own. I also enjoy watching News rather than reading an article.

4. Other People

A lot of the time news is passed from person to person which is where I may find out about something that is going on in the world. When I first find out my first instinct is to go online and search the full story of what I was told. This way of finding out news is not the most reliable because news can easily be distorted based off of where it came from.

5. Twitter

I do not use Twitter as often as I used to but I like to use Twitter as a source of finding out what is going on back home. Most times when I hear about things around my community, I go on Twitter and search hashtags to see what people have been tweeting about different incidents. I try my best to stay away from Twitter but when it comes down to wanting to know what is going on in my community, I can always depend on Twitter.
